Kärcher takes over Holder
After partial acquisition now complete purchase of the Max Holder GmbH by the Kärcher Group
20. September 2019
After the partial involvement of the cleaning specialist Kärcher in the Max Holder group of companies in July this year, the intended complete takeover has followed now. The Alfred Kärcher SE & Co. KG has fully integrated the well-known producer of multifunctional municipal vehicles in its group of companies.
“In future, we will benefit from the synergy effects in R&D, purchasing, production and sales and make both brands even more successful,” says Hartmut Jenner, Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the Board of Management of the Alfred Kärcher SE & Co. KG. “As market leader for municipal carriers, the Max Holder group of companies has an extraordinary expertise in the development and production of municipal vehicles, and so ideally completes the Kärcher product portfolio.”
Holder will be continued as independent company at the Reutlingen location. All jobs will be preserved. Likewise, the Holder brand, product portfolio and sales structure will remain. The established company, founded in 1888, has an existing worldwide distribution network with more than 250 sales and service partners, and a strong presence in North America. Municipal carriers are available in various performance classes, and are suitable for numerous tasks in the course of the year such as sweeping, mowing or snow clearing thanks to a large number of attachments.
