Holder wins lease contract for winter service vehicles in Canada
21. April 2010
HOLDER of North America has been awarded a 5-year lease contract by the City of Ottawa. The lease calls for 19 type S 990 tractors with a comprehensive range of attachments to be delivered this year and an additional 19 tractors to be delivered in 2012, and also includes the servicing during the 5-year term.
In winning this contract, Holder held its own against the competitors Trackless, Maclean, Prinoth and RPMTech. It was a very stringent selection process during which our carrier vehicles were required to demonstrate their functional capability under difficult operating conditions, such as mowing on a slope and operating attachments under full load conditions, etc.
This is a strong endorsement for the capability and quality of Holder products. Canada’s capital is one of the coldest and snowiest in the world. They need rugged and reliable vehicles that can power through lots of snow quickly and efficiently – and they chose Holder. The S 990 equipment carrier was showcased in September at the APWA in Columbus, in the North American state of Ohio.
